Where is my data stored?

Only on your iPhone. While Away has no account and no servers. Lockbox, alarm and Wi-Fi codes are stored in the iPhone keychain.

How do I back up my data?

Settings → Save backup, then choose iCloud Drive or Files. To move to a new phone, use Settings → Restore from backup. Codes and photos are not included in backups.

Does my sitter need the app?

No. Send the guide as a web page (opens in any phone browser, even offline) or as a PDF.

How do I keep codes out of the guide?

Codes are left out by default. On the guide screen, tap "Text codes to sitter" to send them in a separate message.

How do I delete everything?

Settings → Delete all data. Deleting the app also removes all of its data.
